Fried Cauliflower
Fried Chili Cauliflower Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons of peanut oil.
4 Fresh red chilies, finely chopped.
1 Large onion, finely chopped.
2 Cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
1 Teaspoon of dried shrimp paste (belacan).
1 Teaspoon of Salt.
500g Cauliflower, sliced.
2 Tablespoons of hot water.
Method:
1. Use a wok or frying pan and heat the oil, add the onion and garlic and cook on a low heat,
stirring frequently till the onion is soft and golden.
2. Add the belacan and crush it with the back of a spoon.
3. Fry for a approx one minute.
4. Add the salt then add the cauliflower, tossing and stirring the mixture until the cauliflower is mixed
thoroughly with the fried chili and onion.
5. Sprinkle with the hot water, cover and cook for 10 minutes, serves 6 people.

Batter Dipped Deep Fried Cauliflower Recipe

fried cauliflower delight.
Ingredients:
1 Head cauliflower, washed and broken into bite-size flowerets.
2 Eggs, beaten.
1 Tablespoon milk.
1/4 Teaspoon salt.
1 1/2 Cups flour.
2 Tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese.
1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder.
1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme.
1 Teaspoon dried oregano.
1/8 Teaspoon paprika.
1 Dash cayenne pepper (use more if you like spicy stuff).
1/4 Teaspoon black pepper.
Method:
1. Preheat fryer oil to 375.
2. Beat an egg and place it in a shallow bowl with the milk and salt.
3. In another bowl mix together the flour, cheese, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, paprika, cayenne and pepper.
4. Place flowerets into egg mixture and toss them to coat well.
5. Place the mix in to the flour mix and toss well.
6. Deep fry in batches for 4-6 minutes or until they are golden brown.
7. Drain on paper towels and lightly salt.
8. You could serve with dipping sauces such as marinara, ranch or blue cheese.
